What is the differences between
human hair, 100% human hair, Premium human hair, and Remy human hair?
There are several grades of
hair... "Human hair" labelled as so, is typically a low grade, or a synthetic hair blended
with human hair. Therefore it burns easily with high heat, so only low temperatures around 20 degrees should be used. "100%
human hair" refers to a better quality human hair that ranges in grades from A, A+, A++
(Premium grade), but none of the hair strands are unidirectional, meaning that the roots and ends are not
flowing in the same direction, which can lead to tangling; especially for the lower grades of hair. Except Remy hair,
all other types of human hair undergo a process that forces the hair to align in the same direction, ultimately impacting
its lifespan. As for "100% Remy human hair" only the highest quality of human hair is selected, and the hair
is unilaterally aligned with all the cuticles of the hair flowing in the same direction. This method ultimately results
in tangle free hair, that flows naturally. Another thing you may want to know is there is another type of hair called "Virgin
Remy human hair" that is just the same high quality of regular Remy hair except it curls when it is wet, this type
of hair is rare and very expensive.
How long will my extensions last for?
The answer to this question solely depends on the client.
Regardless of how high or low the quality of hair used, one can only expect that their new style will last only as long as
one is willing to take care of it with the appropriate treatment and products. For instance, a weave can last from 3 - 6 weeks
depending on the client, some have even had theirs for upward of two months with good care. Also the higher the quality is
of the hair, the easier to care for it in the long-run.
What are micro-ring, micro-loop, and
fusion extensions?
Fusion and micro link, they are a semi-permanent option for
hair extension that requires you to purchase I-tip Remy human hair (for micro-ring extensions), or U-tip Remy strands
(for fusion extensions). Both methods follow a basic method of insertion. Micro-linking whether with micro-rings or micro-loop,
requires your hair to be parted out in small squares, while small strands of hair are then clamped onto the roots of your
hair with a small tool. As for fusion extensions, a heated instrument is used to melt a keratin (glue) tipped extension to
your hair, by utilizing high heat, thus fusing the hair together. Both methods are comfortably done and are of very little
discomfort during insertion.
